WINTER THEATRE WORKSHOPS
(Age 4 – Grade 5)
Spend winter break singing, dancing, playing, and imagining at Stages! Winter Theatre Workshops are taught by professional teaching artists and are designed to give students an opportunity to get creative, make friends, explore the arts, and have a whole lot of fun over winter break!
DECEMBER 26 – 27, 2024
Sing & Dance: Rudolph (Grade K-2 & Grades 3-5)
Kick off your winter break working with professional STC Teaching Artists as you sing and dance to the music of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! We’ll learn and rehearse beloved (and catchy!) holiday tunes from the show, including “We are Santa’s Elves,” “There’s Always Tomorrow,” and “We’re a Couple of Misfits. As a special opportunity, students will go on a guided backstage tour of STC’s production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical!
Tuition: $155.00 (includes $5 handling fee)

DECEMBER 30 – 31, 2024
Pigeon Palooza! (Ages 4-6)
Before Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! premieres on the Stages Theatre Company mainstage, we’re jumping beak first into the wiley, wonderful, and oh-so-silly sagas of our favorite Mo Willems’ character, Pigeon. Join us for a laugh-out-loud good time, as we use our Actor Tools (body, voice and imagination) to bring these delightful and iconic stories to life.
Tuition: $75.00 (includes $5 handling fee)

Silly Storytellers (Grades K-2)
This winter break, we’re drawing inspiration from our favorite silly authors, such as Dav Pilkey, Adam Rubin & Mo Willems, to create brand new, laugh-out-loud stories of our own. In just two days, we’ll devise and rehearse a brand-new story filled with zany antics and comedic characters, all the while learning how to activate our Actor Tools (body, voice, and imagination).

JANUARY 2-3, 2025
Pigeon Palooza! (Ages 4-6)

Myth Makers (Grades 3-5)
The enchanting and exciting world of mythology comes to life this winter break, as we travel to Camp Half-Blood and Mount Olympus to explore the adventurous escapades of Percy Jackson universe. We’ll embark on thrilling quests, as we solve puzzles, battle and befriend mythical creatures all while using our Actor Tools (body, voice, imagination) to add new tales to this epic series.

Winter Theatre Workshop tuition can be split into a payment plan by calling the Box Office at 952-979-1111.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
Tuition assistance is available through STC’s Open Door Program. Stages Theatre Company offers need-based tuition assistance for all fee-based programs, such as Summer Theatre Workshop. Stages Theatre Company is committed to addressing barriers that can restrict participation in our performances and programming. AGE/RISING GRADE LEVELS POLICY
Please register your student according to the grade level they are currently in or the age that they will be on the first day of the workshop. Students should only enroll in workshops intended for their age at the start of workshop, or grade level in the Fall of 2024. Although we understand that skill and maturity levels vary, younger students may not register up a grade level for any reason. If you’d like your student to register for a class that they have aged out of, please contact ejones@stagestheatre.org.

Welcome Email
3 weeks prior to your student’s workshop, a welcome email will be sent to the emails provided at the time of registration.
Please check spam, junk, or promotions folders if you do not see an email three weeks prior to your student’s workshop. Emails will come from ejones@stagestheatre.org or mcollins@stagestheatre.org.
REGISTERING WITH A FRIEND
Let us know if your student is attending with a friend so that we can ensure that they are placed in the same group as their friend. Winter Theatre Workshops often have multiple sections within the same class title.
If you provided this information in your registration, we have already noted that information.
If you would like to add a “Friend Request” post-registration, contact Elinor Jones, Education Registrar, at ejones@stagestheatre.org letting us know your student’s name and their friend’s name.
Please provide this information at least 5 days prior to the start of class.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your workshop up to TWO WEEKS prior to the first day of camp, for any reason and receive a full refund – minus the $10 handling fee. Call the Box Office at 952-979-1111.

DROP OFF/PICK UP AT THE
HOPKINS CENTER FOR THE ARTS:
CURBSIDE DROP OFF INSTRUCTIONS

Ten minutes prior to the start of class, Stages Theatre Company Administrators will be ready to begin drop off. Administrators will be outside with clipboards in hand.

On Mainstreet, there will be a yellow Stages sign close to 12thAvenue. Pull into the open space closest to the Stages sign and wait for an Administrator with a clipboard to approach your vehicle.

Please stay in your vehicle with your student. Our staff will approach the vehicle’s passenger-side window. On the first day, we will check Emergency Contacts’ phone numbers. If you assist your child in getting out of the vehicle, you are welcome to do so.

The Administrator will escort the student inside to meet their teacher and fellow classmates.
WALK-IN DROP OFF INSTRUCTIONS
*Please note, Administrators will prioritize Curbside Drop Off for student safety.

Please utilize legal street parking or Hopkins City lot parking.

Enter the Hopkins Center for the Arts via the main entrance at the East end of the building, Mainstreet and 11thAvenue. We will be congregating at the West end of the building.

Please wait with your student until approached by an Administrator with a clipboard. If multiple families choose to walk in, please form a line. On the first day, we will check Emergency Contacts’ phone numbers.

The Administrator will escort the student to meet their teacher and fellow classmates.

If you would like to meet your student’s Teaching Artist and wait with them until they begin class, please let the Administrator know. Otherwise, you are welcome to leave after the Administrator checks your student in.
